The Winner of Bombay Sapphire Prize 2008 has been jointly awarded to Yuichi Higsionna and Annie Cattrell.

The judges were really impressed with the standard and diversity of the work that was entered this year and had a tough job in deciding on the winner. They deliberated for 2 hours before making a final decision.

They felt that there wasn't a clear best Newcomer, they were all of a very high standard and the judges couldn't agree on just one, so the foundation members decided to not award the best Newcomer award this year and to equally split the overall main prize money for the joint winners to share.
